About The Tallahassee Ballet Auditions

The Tallahassee Ballet, the preeminent dance organization in North Florida, is a semi-professional non-profit ballet company consisting of talented local dancers and those with professional experience. The Tallahassee Ballet performs classical, neoclassical, and contemporary ballets under the direction of Artistic Director Tyrone Brooks. Main stage productions are performed to live orchestra at Ruby Diamond Auditorium.

The Tallahassee Ballet Company Auditions for the 2018/2019 Season

Tuesday, April 3rd:

Junior Company – open to dancers ages 9-12, with intermediate ballet technique. Headshot required. 4:00 registration, 4:30-6:00 audition.

Corps de Ballet – open to dancers ages 14-18, with advanced ballet technique and advanced pointe work. Headshot and pointe shoes required. 5:30 registration, 6:00-7:30 audition.

Wednesday, April 4th:

Apprentice Company – open to dancers at least 12 years of age, with intermediate ballet technique and pointe work. Headshot and pointe shoes required. 4:00 registration, 4:30-6:00 audition.

Principals, Soloists, Demi-Soloists – open to dancers 18+ years, with advanced ballet technique and advanced pointe work. Headshot and pointe shoes required. 5:30 registration, 6:00-7:30 audition.
